Publishing
In 2017, I founded the Aya Collective (formerly called the Kinky Curly Theological Collective) as a space for Black women to come together and write. In the first few years of this collective, we focused on community building and writing. In 2020, I launched the publishing arm of our organization - Aya Media & Publishing, and published our first text the Gospel According to a Black Woman that same year.
Since 2020, we have published several texts including:
Let the Black Women Say Ase’ (Anthology, 2022)
Book of Poems Written by an Eight Year Old (Adedayo, 2023)
Incomplete Stories: On Loss, Love, and Hope (Aya, 2023)
Finding the Voice Within (Anthology, 2024)
Reconsidering Eve: Towards a Deepened Consciousness (Aya, 2024)
Reconsidering Eve: The Experience (Aya, 2025)
Remembered and Living Text: Black Women Living with Endometriosis (Thomas-Kpetay and Elder, 2026).
